Late-morning brunch turns into late-afternoon cocktails at New York City’s largest indoor/outdoor hotel rooftop. Magic Hour offers an epic Empire State Building backdrop at this lively brunch with fantastic brunch/lunch options including classics like a huge stack of pancakes, a Backyard Burger, salads, and more. Specialty cocktails include the giant oversized Pick Your Poison to be shared with friends. Other Magic Hour highlights include carousel seating, an oversized topiary garden, and Foreplay, a miniature putt-putt featuring life-sized animals.

THE SPACES

Perched 18 floors above the city, Magic Hour boasts five distinct environments. The gallery-like entrance hall features whimsical topiary animals in naughty positions. A small interior lounge has a sexy urban-industrial vibe, with wire mesh panels riveted to the ceiling and walls. There are two separate outdoor areas: The east side, overlooking the Empire State Building, has elegant garden-party fixtures, while the west is more overtly carnival-esque, with one seating area rotating slowly like an antique carousel.

FOREPLAY

Tucked into a corner is what’s bound to be the hotel’s most Instagrammed feature: Foreplay, a miniature putt-putt course designed by Tao Group Hospitality, that, instead of windmills, has follies of colossal-size animals in flirty poses..

LIGHT BITES & ON ICE

A menu of shareable light bites is rooted in the world of the state fair, with modern takes on classics including Corn Hush Puppies, Lobster Rolls, and Boozy Cupcakes. An impressive list of decadent and sharable cocktails like the Disco Ball For All is available along with beer, wine, Champagne, and spirits.
